Vinyasa Yoga
A flowing yoga practice where breath and movement come together in a steady, energising rhythm.
Movement guided by breath.
Vinyasa Yoga links individual yoga poses into flowing sequences. Breath helps guide the pace and transitions, so the movement between postures becomes just as intentional as the postures themselves.
Unlike styles that follow one fixed sequence, a Vinyasa class can be different each time. This creates a varied practice that brings together strength, mobility, balance and coordination.
Flowing. Strong. Focused.
Breathe
Breath accompanies the movement and helps you find a steady rhythm throughout the practice.
Move
Dynamic transitions and varied postures engage the whole body while developing stability, mobility and balance.
Focus
Linking breath and movement encourages attention to the present moment and gives the practice a calm, concentrated quality.
No fixed routine.
A Vinyasa class often begins with gentle mobility and time to settle into the breath. The sequences then build gradually. Sun salutations may form part of the flow, linking standing poses, balance work and floor-based movements.
The order can change depending on the focus of the class. This keeps the practice fresh and gives you new ways to explore familiar movements with more awareness.
For anyone who enjoys moving with purpose.
Vinyasa suits people who enjoy a more dynamic style of yoga while still valuing breath, control and body awareness. You do not need to be especially flexible or already know every yoga pose.
Options and pauses allow the intensity to be adapted to your experience and how you feel on the day. The aim is not to move as quickly or deeply as possible, but to practise with control and attention.
